Tahsan has been in the news for months after announcing his retirement from singing. There have been various discussions, criticisms and debates surrounding him. Many have said that he quit singing due to religious reasons. There have also been rumors that he has joined a religious political party. Finally, Tahsan has opened up about the issue.
At a recent event in the capital, Tahsan said, “When I said that I would quit singing at a concert in Melbourne, there were very few people there. I didn’t think that it would spread like this across the country. Just as I have gradually taken a break from acting, I will also take a break from singing. I am a bit emotional, a poet. I said it in such a way that it spread. A lot has happened as a result of that one word of mine. At one point, I saw that my picture was being linked to a political party with a hat. I am doing politics!”
Tahsan believes that this was done out of the addiction to going viral. He said, “I think these are part of the game. Like a game. Now some people are addicted to going viral. It’s happening all over the world. That’s why you have to think carefully about what you’re saying. You have to think about what will happen when.’
Regarding his decision to quit singing, Tahsan said, ‘This is not the first time. I’ve taken a break in my career several times. When I left the Black Band and started a solo career, I stopped performing live for a few years. Then, when I went to the United States for my master’s degree, I didn’t release any songs for two years. I didn’t even do concerts. Now I’m going on another break. I feel like I’ve received a lot more love than I was supposed to in the last 25 years. If I continue like this, the matter will become boring. I gave another answer in another place. That’s also true. There is another answer. But I can’t give it publicly. Because, every person has some personal experiences in their life that are so incredible that they themselves can’t believe it. I don’t want to say anything that becomes a national issue.’
Now, Tahsan wants to stay busy with his studies. He said, ‘Every person’s life has different chapters. In the first chapter, it seems like I don’t know anything. In the second chapter, I feel like I know a lot, and there’s no more to learn. I was in that chapter. Recently, I feel like I don’t know anything about life and the world. I need to study a lot more.’
